Ongoing Guidance for a Complicated Repayment System

Student-loan repayment decisions can affect your monthly cash flow, long-term interest costs, taxes, and eligibility for loan forgiveness.

The appropriate strategy may also change as your income, family circumstances, employment, tax filing status, or federal student-loan rules change.

Our Student Loan Repayment Assistance service provides continuing guidance for borrowers who want professional help evaluating their repayment options and maintaining their strategy over time.

What the Service Includes

Student Loan Repayment Assistance generally includes:

  • An annual student-loan planning meeting
  • Review of your current federal student loans
  • Evaluation of available repayment options
  • Review of income-driven repayment considerations
  • Assistance with annual income recertification
  • Review of payment calculations
  • Public Service Loan Forgiveness planning, when applicable
  • Guidance following changes in income, family size, employment, or marital tax filing status
  • Review of significant changes to federal student-loan programs

Annual Review and Ongoing Support

Student-loan planning is rarely a one-time decision.

Your repayment strategy may need to be reviewed when:

  • Your tax filing status changes
  • Federal repayment rules or available plans change

Our ongoing service is intended to help you evaluate those changes before they create unintended consequences.
